The blog is back up and running thanks to Ryan Hayes!

Have I mentioned how much I love this family? These kids and their beautiful little faces make my heart so happy!!!! Sessions at home are my absolute favorite. They may seem mundane to you if you're the mom of mini mess makers, but in a few years, your little punkin's way of life will be much, much different than it is today. Bath time is one of those sweet little glimpses of innocence that is so worthy of remembering.... sighhhhh

If you're familiar with our work, you have seen this JCrew family before. (No, they aren't really JCrew models, but I think they should be.) They have just acquired some dreamy property and this is their shale beach. Yes! A beach in East TN! It's gorgeous. What a perfect place for their punkins to grow up. Indian painting with those shale rocks, boating, throwing and let's not forget..SKIPPING rocks! Oh my. The image below with this daddy and his boy skipping rocks makes my heart do some skipping. Beauty on the inside and out right here. I treasure this family.

1. I love this family because they are outrageously laid back and totally value natural little moments in life that just happen.

2. I love these kids because they are hilarious and they love one another.

3. The fleeting moments in this session are almost enough to send me right over the edge...could you just die looking at that precious baby girl and her daddy?!

4. The shot of the 3 kids standing side by side by side looking in the camera makes me smile so big, because I have two older brothers that towered over me like that when I was a little girl, too. It makes me think of a measuring stick...not an actual measuring stick, of course. But the way you can see their little stair steps is kind of a measuring visual. I dig it.
