I promise you....swear it...you are only seeing the love here that I saw first hand.
I couldn't make this stuff happen in front of a camera if I tried. The connection in this family is SO strong and beautiful to watch, it made the images turn out swimmingly well, in my opinion.
I love watching love...especially when it includes genuine people and dread locks.

This lovely family is from this area, but has moved to Ohio to raise their family. The parents, the grandparents, the kids....being around them is as if being on the set of Little House on the Prairie. What a wholesome seeming family. The children are outrageously well mannered and the overall spirit of the entire bunch of them is just peaceful and calm. So nice. So refreshing to be around. Blessed to meet such lovely people. :)

I thought at some point the "awe" of watching children grow would wear off (considering it's all I get to do). But quite conversely I still love it and get just as amazed with every single child that walks through this door. Watching babies from the time they are in their mommy's belly to the time they are 5 years old is one of the most fulfilling things in my life. It's a spectacular transformation to witness and document. So blessed by the families that trust us with this precious time period in life.
Speaking of precious...this family is most precious. Everytime I'm around them, my cheeks hurt from smiling so much. Awesome people.

Do I need to talk about how truly GORGEOUS both of these girls are?
When I look at this bride, all I can think of is, "My Lord, she's just stunning!"...then she talks and I think...how does one person have so many great things going on at once? ;)
She's beautiful, she's sweet, she has excellent taste and I love that she wanted to include her flower girl in her bridal shots.
And if you want to see more of her sidekick showstopper, click this link.
Congrats on the wedding! Happy journey to you and your sweet fella!

If you are from this area, I'm sure you have heard about Kellan.
She's a four year old fighter that was diagnosed with a tumor in her left cerebellum.
To photograph this little girl with her family before they travelled for her first treatment was an absolute honor. She was a perfect 4 year old flipping from "I REALLY don't want my picture made" to "okay, I'll give you one look, but you better be fast". :) She made me laugh....and smile.....alot.
What a beautiful spirit this family has about them....one of hope and faith for what is to come and one of gratitude for all the little things in life.....like prayer for example...if you have a few to send up, could you add Kellan, her family and their current journey to your list of great stuff to pray for?
