I used to think talking about chewing on baby thighs was the grossest thing I had ever thought about...but then I had a few ladies here at the studio last night and they were looking through an album saying, "OOH! Look! I wanna bite it..I just want to chew on those legs for a few minutes." hahaaa....while still kinda.......strange, it's so true! What is it about babies thighs that are so stinkin' kissable! I love em, love em, love em. This baby is no stranger for that desire.

disclaimer : I would NEVER actually *do* that to anyone's child....just saying chubby little parts make ya want to. Sweetness!

This family just moved into town from Charlotte and I am SO happy to know them! I bet I had more fun at our session than they did. I smiled so much my cheeks hurt! What a precious couple and such a sweet little punkin pie they have! Can't wait to watch him grow.

Sometimes the strangest things pop into a session...like a stray cat.
Random, I know. But cute nonetheless.

In this session, I love how the silliness and playful nature of the kids is so prevalent. Beautiful family, lots of laughs, lots of fun!

Breast Cancer survivor. Fighter. Lover of life. Wife. Supermommy. Teacher. Precious, precious incredibly inspiring woman and her insanely beautiful and equally amazing family.

This session is a moment in their journey where their youngest son is 1 and the mom has just kicked cancer in the kisser. I'm overjoyed to share this video with you.

I met Stephanie and Tom at a function we hosted awhile back. They had me come out to document their family and I must say, I was a little apprehensive at first.....about getting all the dogs in one shot. As it turns out, photographing dogs is almost exactly like photographing kids.
We ran and rolled around in the backyard. They were sweet, sassy and had moments of shyness just like any other session. So fun to watch and get to be a part of.

I must say...one of the biggest differences about this session from a regular kids session is this...I'm sure a mom and dad of human children wouldn't have "wine dog" bibs and a request to photograph them in the cellar. I love the nuances of my job.

Every now and then a discovery of something fabulous comes along that we just can't keep to ourselves. This post is about one of "those".

We are a huge fan of Chef Anna. She's professional, she's classy, she's educated, cultured and well versed in her culinary skills. As if that weren't enough....she's driven, she's successful, she's fun and fun-ny and we love her. I believe her to be a huge asset to our area because she brings an eclectic range of knowledge and know-how regarding cuisine from areas around the world. Have you heard of her? You simply HAVE to check her out. You'll leave smiling, I promise.

Here's something I love.....do you ever watch cooking shows and think, "they make it look it so easy, I can totally do that", then when you try, there's always something that just didn't turn out right? ((I may be the only one this applies to.)) Did you know Chef Anna will come to your house and do cooking classes? She truly brings new meaning to the word "amazing". To know that her food is as delicious as she is amazing is almost too good to be wrapped up in one little entity. :)

You'll love her...I just know it.
