I met this couple last year when they were married. She had me come over to photograph her and her husband in their dress and tux. This year, they have a sweet little pickle added to their family and as I watched her with both of them, I was completely overwhelmed with emotion. She is so thankful for her life and for her boys. She has so much love for both of them, so much patience with both of them and such an appreciation for the preciousness of life. I'm blessed to know them...and just as blessed that they trust me to document such a momentous occasion for them.

Hate when I do that. Just realized I forgot to post this sweet little session back a few months ago. Better late than never? EEk. Sorry, Mrs. Janet!

So, my kids and I were cheering on the runners for Chasing Snakes 10k race last weekend and we are situated at the "1/2 mile to go" point. We can see runners coming down Hillrise Blvd., they cross over Baxter and breeze right past us. So at this point in the race, most people are pretty straight faced and serious or struggling a bit. This guy comes across Baxter and I swear he jumped with so much energy and enthusiasm, I really think he could have jumped over my head while I was standing.....it was the fella in these pictures. He's crazy. 5.5 miles and he had energy like he had just started. Wish I could do that.

Fab family. Love em to bits!!!

Sassy, serious, smart and silly.....How can one girl be so many things at once? What a great catch! She's such a cool cat (as my 8 year old daughter would say...however, she would spell it kook kat). Anyway, I got a chance to meet one of her sisters and her mom and just felt an instant connection with all three of them. Will that connection take me to their home in Cape Cod to photograph the whole family together? Time will tell, time will tell.

I love this shoot's purpose. She sent me an email titled, "the senior pictures I never had made"....at 22, she still went through with having her senior portraits. Who wouldn't think that totally rocks?

This family moved to the area to work at BMS. They also happen to go to our church. We started talking one Sunday and discovered they used a photographer in Atlanta that I am familiar with through my online photography connections. That all led to a session with them at BMS during the Christmas season. Very quick, very fun and can't wait to do the next session with them outside in the summer time!

Awesome family...I'm sooo looking forward to getting to know them more. Welcome to the Tri Cities Harvey Family!
