Meet the Roses. An incredibly fun, beautiful, full of life, funny, intelligent, sweet enough to give you a cavity- family. They are just some of my favorite people on the planet.
I've had the joy of photographing this little girl since she was in her mommy's womb.
Here's a series of our journey together...
What a beautiful adventure their first year was! So grateful for this family and looking forward to watching them grow for a long, long time.

See this kid? Top series? Love him.
He's always been animated...here's one of our previous sessions together if you're into that sort of thing --->>> click here. Such a stinker. His baby brother is going to be holding his own before long. I can't wait to see how that shakes out.
I so enjoy watching the nuances in family relationships and how siblings learn to adjust to one another. I strongly believe some of that comes through the images we create.
In all the years I've been working with this family, this was the first time we attempted an Urban Session. They totally rocked it. I love the playful nature in their familiy...and in their images!

I drool over just thinking about her journal collection. This beautiful lady journals every day and has for years. What a discipline! Can you imagine growing up and being able to go back and read a daily account of your life as you were going through high school. So awesome.
She L O V E S books, journals, she's musically inclined as well and is a ski instructor during the winter. I love when seniors are into stuff. Makes for a great visual story.

Wendy is a photographer for our sister photography company, The Polished Olive. She's a very gifted photographer and we just love her. She has never had a generational portrait done, so she honored me with the invitation to do that for her...and what a special honor it was! Her little g'ma is over 90. Over 90! Isn't she beautiful!
There are 5 generations represented here and they are all bursting with personality. I love watching connections and relationships between all the family members. Thanks so much, Mrs. Wendy for allowing me the privilege of doing this for you!

This fiery red head called us with the sweetest little sweet tea voice you can imagine and told us that aviation was her family's passion. After being around her for a few hours, I got it. She is so passionate about aviation it brought me to tears ((I know, imagine that)). Anyway, when she talks about it, she lights up. There's a fire in her that burns deep for it. I flipping L O V E to be around people like that. It's exactly what makes life so fun to wake up to every morning.
In the images below, you'll see her with her daddy and her family. She and her dad run Tri City Aviation and her husband is the mechanic there (hence the shot of him with a toolbox bigger than my car). Her daughters also love aviation and once even had their birthday party out there. How fun is that! Loved getting to know this family and what makes their world go around.
Ashley Warren says:
Love this so much! As a wife of a pilot, I can identify!! Aviation is just a part of you! Great images!!
