Dear, dear friends of mine who have gigantic hearts, wild imaginations and enough guts, elbow grease and ingenuity to pull off the impossible. I love this family.

Before I die, I want to not only see this entire family ski at one time, but I also want to photograph them doing so.
I was super excited about this session for many reasons...1. I just L O V E the family. Do you remember them? Here's a link to their Life, Actually a few years back. Grab a box of tissue for this one! Being around them is always enough of a treat, but then getting to meet more of them? I was pumped to say the very least.
We were chatting in our planning session and it turns out that there is a long history of professional show skiers in their family. Actually...her mother married her father because their parents thought the way she had to climb on him to create a pyramid while on skis was inappropriate. Do you love that? The history and the significance this session had was almost too rich for me! I couldn't get enough of the stories and memories they shared.
The 2nd thing I was so excited about is that we had planned to do a generational pyramid...as in everyone would be on skis
at the same time
behind one boat
in a pyramid
together.
That will happen one day. Unfortunately it couldn't for various reasons this time.
The old boats, old skis, the house the grandfather built, the summers spent here, the mere fact that everyone in the family skis and it's part of who they are, the memories being created still today...the whole thing. Just the whole darn thing. Loved it. Want to do it again next summer!!

Sometimes I joke that I only have a business so I can meet new friends...like this one.
What a sweet friend, Christina is! She's wildly....WILDLY creative, has an unbelievably great business mind, she could easily show that P90X Tony a few things and have I mentioned that she is mastermind behind the always scrumptious Cootie Brown's Key Lime Pie?! I could go on and on and on about how fabulous she is, the list is longer than I have time for right at this very second.
I'm crazy blessed to get to know her and her awesome family!

Friendships, laughing, inside jokes, sharing the same hobbies and interests....those are the things that make friendships great, aren't they? I enjoy getting to meet High School Seniors and their friends. I see value in photographing them together, too. I believe it's an important part of what their journey is like right now in life. This senior was just photographed as a part of that senior's session. So fun to watch those kids laugh and be silly. They seem to be super great friends.
She not only has great friends...she has some incredible parents, too! People I would just like to sit down with for hours over coffee and learn about life.
She's also a gymnast, a tree climber, a scuba diver, she loves her aquarium (which, by the way, I can honestly say, this was a first for me to photograph someone with an aquarium) and she has the perfect personalized license plate...It has her name on it. I always wanted to do that, but "Tina" just never seemed cool enough to print in a dominant space like that. Anyhoo, hope you love your images and enjoy the rest of your senior year Miss Kyndall!
