You may remember this family...they're quite unforgettable.
They have personality PLUS! Plus what? Plus more personality, that's what.
I literally either laugh or have permagrin from the time they walk in to the moment we part.
Their joy, sarcasm, dry humor and depth leave me wanting more every time I see them.
Oh, and did I mention their willingness to do crazy things? They let me lay their first son
down in really tall grass, wrapped in a blanket up on Roan Mtn.. This year they let me float their new baby boy down the river in a basket. They rock.
We did a two part session Maternity/Newborn. Both by water to carry the theme. I think it's pretty obvious in the images where one story stops and the other starts. Isn't it cool how our bodies, as women, change so drastically, so rapidly? I love that.

Gorgeous, artsy and down to earth family. I see so much value in documenting children and family together at any age. The two oldest children here are in college together...it's the boy's first year. In the blink of an eye, they'll both be graduating, careers will be starting and new families will begin to branch out of this one. A beautiful milestone documented. Officially.

Have you ever been to Grandfather Mountain? Wow! Breathtaking!!! I didn't actually go on the mountain, but I could see it from the golf course where we photographed. I love the entire area up in that region. Quaint, quiet, relaxing little towns. I just want to grab a good book and chill in a hammock somewhere. Nap a little, read a little...relax a ton. Ahhhh. I digress.
Sometimes I look at the caliber of people I get to work with and get totally overtaken with gratitude. They love life. They love their families. They are laid back, have a great sense of humor and they are just all around good people. What a gift! Thankful for you Hart family!

Seems like yesterday this family was flying solo with one beautiful little boy and BAM! Babies started coming hand over fist. Now complete (but I'm all for them adding a few more) is one of the sweetest families I know!
To be going in so many different directions, Lori handles life with ease and finesse. She truly inspires me. I love talking to her and listening to her "one day at a time" approach. She's filled with love that overflows to everyone around her. What a beautiful momma...inside and out. :)
