Editing today and stumbled across this jewel.

What a precious, precious fleeting moment. Images like this truly make me reconsider having just one more. ***sigh***

What a super fun and colorful session! This little fella is as precious as they come, but I gotta tell ya, his parents aren't too bad either! What a sweet, sweet family. Loved traipsing around town with them just watching them love on one another. :) Hope you enjoy.

Tina - You are AMAZING! You captured all the expressions, gestures, and innocence that I always want to remember about Hayden at this phase of his life. Thank you for such a wonderful experience and giving us something we will treasure always . . . see you in the future! ~Lea Ann~

Hilarious couple. Laid back, funny, great decision makers and a heck of a sweet family!
Do you LOVE the huge framed piece of George on the mantle? It's maybe my favorite...well, I dunno, I really, really, really love the screaming christening gown shot or no! wait! I think my favorite is the one where she's holding the baby with the expression like, "holy crap, what in the world do we do NOW?" Oh no....man. I L O V E the shot where the dad has this look of utter bliss as he looks at his brand new baby girl. Oh heck, I love em' all!

Expressive shoot. Love it! Hope you do. :)

Jokingly, I mentioned to the mom there is NO WAY I could ever show these images because you ( blog readers ) might just think I had something to do with how well this baby posed for me.
I am not kidding....for the past few years I have loooooonged for a newborn session where I could shape and mold a sweet little punkin and they would just "stick" to that position. Well, here she is. Several, several..............................several newborns later.

She's a keeper. What a good baby. She slept and slept and let us do anything we wanted. If all babies were this good, I'd have 2 more tomorrow. Eh, prolly not really...but I'd sure have to think about it. ;)

I was blessed to photograph this couple's engagement session and just absolutely love their entire family. What an honor to be asked to photograph their first baby! She's so good, I can't wait for them to have more!

baby babies , lil' kids | May 10, 2010
I could go on and on (and I do most times) about how much I love childhood and real moments. Today won't be much different.

A newborn comes into a family where there's just been one happy little punkin floating around the house for several years and bam! There's a WHAT coming to live with us? A baby??? What's a baby? I'm going to be a big brother? Oh. Okay....whatever that means.

Fast forward, the baby comes. I've seen alot of things transpire at this point...jealousy, resentment, tenderness and affection....lots of different things. For this family, it honestly felt so  natural. It felt like just another day. Big brother didn't show any huge swings in behavior. He loved and cared for his new baby brother, but he still played and did his thing, too. His whole little self wasn't completely wrapped up in the newness of the change in their home. I loved watching that.

Sure personalities go a long way but what great parents they are to have prepared their home to roll with the punches. Very inspiring. Very. Loved every second of seeing it all play out.
