I've never been to a big stadium without thinking about the nostalgia of what baseball is in America. Going to watch a game is such an American thing to do, ya know? I can't find words to describe the feeling it gives me, it's just comfortable magic if I had to spit two descriptors out right now. Sounds silly to read that...but it IS kinda the two best words for me.
This little boy is obsessed with baseball and has been since I can remember. (Here's his last session if you're interested in peeking). His mom told me that this session was her dream session. I feel so grateful that she would trust me to document this special time in their life. They do baseball things, alot and so when this little punkin grows up and looks back on these images, hopefully all of the memories of his childhood with his parents at the ballpark will come flooding back to him.
Isn't it cool how every family has their very own set of activities, ideas, beliefs, traditions? I love so, SO much seeing all of those nuances and being fortunate enough to document them.

What a precious family. They are one of those families that you look at and think...how can one family always be that happy? But! I've worked with them for years now and know lots of people who know them and they all say the same thing. They are just always happy. How infectious to be around someone like that! It's beautiful.
Their last session was when they were expecting their sweet little boy a little over a year ago. You can see it here... love them!

I could ALMOST just post the first image and be done.
It's not "technically" a great image (photographically speaking), but this moment makes me giggle every...single...time. She just looks like, Oh LORD, NOOOOOO! Get away! and he's all pucker up sista! It's just really funny to me.
One of my other very faves in this session is the 5th one down. Not sure why. Sometimes an image just grips me...this is one of those.
What a super precious, real, patient, understanding, totally-gets-it-family. You can see some of their earlier sessions here....

I promise you....swear it...you are only seeing the love here that I saw first hand.
I couldn't make this stuff happen in front of a camera if I tried. The connection in this family is SO strong and beautiful to watch, it made the images turn out swimmingly well, in my opinion.
I love watching love...especially when it includes genuine people and dread locks.

This lovely family is from this area, but has moved to Ohio to raise their family. The parents, the grandparents, the kids....being around them is as if being on the set of Little House on the Prairie. What a wholesome seeming family. The children are outrageously well mannered and the overall spirit of the entire bunch of them is just peaceful and calm. So nice. So refreshing to be around. Blessed to meet such lovely people. :)
