Nerves are crazy with our first babies, aren't they? One of my very, very, very favorite images in this set is toward the end, it's the image of her anticipating and looking like, "oh dear...what in the world have I gotten myself into"? If I'm being really honest, I thought that very same thing for at least 6 months after my kids were born. I even asked my husband several times the first week they were home, if he thought the hospital would let us bring them back. Funny how those nerves sneak up on us.
Next time you see a new mom, pat her on the back and tell her what a great job she's doing. It's a tough job...but it's the single most rewarding job we could ever have.

I could just gobble her up! Looking at her is one thing, but to hear her talk is quite something different. She's just the most precious, smart, inquisitive, tiny adult I've encountered.
And her parents are cool, too! Can't wait to meet the new baby!!!!

These are stunning! I especially love the one of the little girl laying on the chair...what a precious moment and expression. Beautiful job!

Totally in love, totally prepared, totally a beautiful time in this couple's journey and I feel so honored to get to share this time with them visually. What a gift to give to their sweet baby girl (who's been born by the way....she's ummm.. perfect. Will show you soon.). I love that she will get to see what her beautiful mommy looked like while she was in her belly and just as special in my eyes? She will get to see how much her daddy COMPLETELY ADORES her mommy. I could talk for days and days and days about the intensity of sweetness this couple oozes, but I truly don't want to gross you out. ;) They're awesome. Baby pics coming soon!

So of course, we just went with that. ;)
We went up to Roan Mtn. and photographed sweet little cookie while he was cooking, then when he decided to come out....we just went right back to the same place.
Outdoor baby pictures are somewhat perplexing for me but this one just "fit". I couldn't tell you how cool this couple is....a set of first time parents and they let me lay their baby in the grass. First time parents don't do that stuff. They rock. I love this look...all the way through. Amazing people with beautiful spirits and a pret-ty darned cute baby!
Thanks for letting me play! Can-NOT WAIT for our next session!

What a beauty!!!! Isn't she lovely? Oh, and of course the baby girl is precious, too! Okay, okay, so the dad's a looker, as well. The whole family is just fab. Inside and out. Love them, love their spirit, their crazy love for each other and the Lord, their ability to be silly as whiz, their willingness to drive all the way up here from Cleveland for the third time just for pictures! Just love em. Love em up and can't wait till that lil' punkin' arrives so I can love him up some, too! WooHoo! Come on out lil' fella!
